You don’t have to do it all alone.
Group therapy at Xen Family Therapy offers a compassionate, community-based space to process life’s transitions alongside others who truly understand. Whether you're moving through motherhood, identity shifts, or relationship changes, group counseling invites you into a circle of support where your experiences are seen, heard, and held with care.
What is group therapy & how it works
Group therapy is a guided space where individuals meet (virtually or in person) to share, reflect, and grow together. It is open to anyone who wants to explore their thoughts and emotions in a safe, facilitated setting while also connecting with others on similar journeys. Led by a licensed therapist, group sessions are designed to foster connection, emotional safety, and shared learning. You don’t have to speak every time; just showing up and listening can be powerful. Over time, many people find that the shared stories, gentle reflections, and sense of “me too” become a meaningful part of their healing process. You don’t need to have any prior therapy experience, just a willingness to show up and be part of something meaningful.
WHO IS group therapy FOR?
Groups are ideal for anyone looking for connection, validation, and insight while navigating a specific life experience. Some groups are topic-specific, like postpartum support or childfree identity, while others offer space for general emotional support. One thing to keep in mind: Group counseling always welcomes you exactly as you are.
Sessions are held weekly, depending on the group. We meet virtually via a secure platform, so you can join from wherever you are.
If you’re curious but unsure if it’s the right fit, we offer a free 15-minute call to talk through any questions before you commit.

why group therapy?
While individual therapy offers personalized attention, group therapy offers connection. It reminds you that you’re not alone in what you’re feeling. You’ll hear reflections that resonate and, over time, feel part of something bigger: a community that holds space for your experience without judgment.
Many clients find group work to be empowering, grounding, and unexpectedly healing. You don’t have to carry it all by yourself. Just showing up is enough.
